What to do if you Suspect COVID-19 Virus Symptoms?

If you think, you may have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus you should be aware of certain respiratory symptoms.

 

What are the symptoms?

  • Fever
  • Lower airway symptoms: coughing, shortness of breath
  • General discomfort and headache
  •  

How is the COVID-19 coronavirus transmitted?

It has been confirmed that the virus can be transmitted from person to person through the air, by coughing and sneezing, touching or shaking hands with a sick person, or by touching an object or surface contaminated with the virus and then touching your mouth, nose, or eyes without first washing your hands.

The symptoms may develop 2-14 days after exposure to someone with the virus.

 

What are the steps to prevent Covid-19 illness?

  • Wash your hands often
  • Keep a minimum distance of six feet from anyone who coughs or sneezes
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Maintain good airway hygiene
  • Stay home if you are not in good health
  • Avoid contact with sick people
  • Disinfects objects and surfaces continuously
  • Maintain proper ventilation
